Have you talked with Jesus today?

The First Presbyterian Church
of
Hubbard

All Are Welcome Here

In the Presbyterian Church (USA), men and women of all races have full and equal membership rights with respect to holding office, including office in the local church, higher bodies, and ordination to ministry.

The Presbyterian Church does not legislate for its people on personal and moral issues, but gives guidance and challenges for personal decision making.

The word "Presbyterian" means "elder" or "representative." We take our name from our form of church government. Our ruling body, the Session, is composed of elders elected by the people. The pastor is the moderator of the Session and has one vote, as do each of the elders. You may join the Presbyterian Church by meeting with the Session. We welcome all into membership who are willing to answer the following questions in the presence of the Session.

"Who is your Lord and Savior?"

"Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior."

"Do you intend to be His disciple, to obey His word and show His love?"

"Yes"

"Will you be a faithful member of this congregation, giving of yourself in every way, and will you seek the fellowship of the church wherever you may be?"

"Yes"

You may join by confession of faith and baptism, (any baptism by an ordained minister) in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is accepted, the transfer of membership from another church, or reaffirmation of faith when a certificate of transfer cannot be secured.
